Born in the UK and raised in Los Angeles, I now call the Pacific Northwest my home. My artistic journey is deeply influenced by the natural world. Most of my subjects are from nature: animals, plants, bones, and rocks. I create in various mediums, including acrylics, watercolors, and sculpture, allowing me to express my ideas in diverse ways and explore whatever weird little idea is stewing in my brain. My art is whimsical and colorful, sometimes weird and sometimes beautiful, hopefully all of those things at once.

I received a BA at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in studio art with a focus on sculpture. From there I became certified as a “natural chef”, and then completed a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. When I decided to leave the medical field I returned to art; a passion I had set aside but desperately missed. Maybe it’s a strange journey but what was unifying throughout was my respect for, interest in, and commitment to nature.

When I’m not making art I enjoy cooking, gardening, and fixing stuff around the house with my husband. And I can’t forget to mention our two dogs, Ru and Wally, and our cat, Maple, who keep me company every day while I create.
